Linus Ignatius is a queer, HIV-positive Armenian-American filmmaker and a proud third culture kid. Linus tells stories about rebels, the LGBTQ+ community, and the lifelong journey from shame to celebration. After film school in the Czech Republic, Linus directed large scale theatrically immersive events in Berlin in collaboration with artist collective Neu West Berlin. Linus founded their own independent production company called The Elliott Collective, and began directing, producing, and editing music videos, narrative shorts, and video content for non-profits and brands, including Synergos, The Generations Project, and the groundbreaking LGBTQ+ wellness brand called "for them". In 2017 Linus became an Emerge fellow through the Hemispheric Institute, and presented work at LaMama in NYC. Linus' narrative work has screened at Newfest, at the 30Under30 Festival in collaboration with the U.N., and the NY Independent Film Festival, to name a few, and Linus' latest short MASS is available to watch across streaming platforms.
